Brandon Steiner, a Jewish kid from Brooklyn, overcame childhood poverty and combined his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for sports into a successful career.
Steiner founded and runs Steiner Sports Marketing, a $50 million a year global sports memorabilia powerhouse.
He recently released his second book, You Gotta Have Balls: How a Kid from Brooklyn Started From Scratch, Bought Yankee Stadium, and Created a Sports Empire.
A combination of autobiography and business coaching advice, each chapter in the book is a story wrapped around a "Steinerism," a nugget of business and life wisdom.
I recently received a review copy of the book from Wiley Publishing, and had the opportunity to interview Steiner by phone before Rosh Hashanah.
I'm presently working on completing a book review of You Gotta Have Balls, and a separate profile of Steiner.
I'll post both to JewishSportsCollectibles in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, you can check out a JewishSportsCollectibles.com's previous book reviews, and postings about the books by and about Jewish athletes, broadcasters and sports executives, by clicking on the Books tag on the left of this page.
