The Yankles, a comedy about a yeshiva baseball team, is one of two Jewish baseball movies now playing at Jewish film festivals (click here for information about Jews & Baseball: An American Love Story, or read the previous posting about The Yankles by clicking here).

Yankles Poster Just in time for the new year, according to the movie's Facebook page, collectors can now purchase "official, first edition" Yankles posters from the film's web site. The cost for the 27" X 39" poster is $10, plus $5 S/H.

Other Yankles memorabilia advertised on the film's web site — but not available for sale, yet, according to producer Zev Brooks — include a hat (complete with peyes!), tallit, jersey, t-shirt and kapote.

The Yankles will be screened October 14 at the Milwaukee Jewish Film Festival. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for details on other screenings.

Has anyone seen the film? Does anyone have any memorabilia from it? Anyone planning to buy the poster?

For anyone who might be interested in obtaining an autographed poster, I've traded emails with Zev and communicated with him via Facebook. I'll bet, if you ask, that he'd be willing to sign posters.
