Brandon Steiner
, a Jewish kid from Brooklyn, overcame childhood poverty and combined his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for sports into a successful career.

Steiner founded and runs Steiner Sports Marketing, a $50 million a year global sports memorabilia powerhouse.

He recently released his second book, You Gotta Have Balls: How a Kid from Brooklyn Started From Scratch, Bought Yankee Stadium, and Created a Sports Empire.

A combination of autobiography and business coaching advice, each chapter in the book is a story wrapped around a "Steinerism," a nugget of business and life wisdom.

I recently received a review copy of the book from Wiley Publishing, and had the opportunity to interview Steiner by phone before Rosh Hashanah

I'm presently working on completing a book review of You Gotta Have Balls, and a separate profile of Steiner.

I'll post both to JewishSportsCollectibles in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, you can check out a's previous book reviews, and postings about the books by and about Jewish athletes, broadcasters and sports executives, by clicking on the Books tag on the left of this page.

Please let know of any Jewish sports memoirs and books you'd like to see reviewed in the future by leaving a comment below or by emailing
