Auction Preview: Pete Rose Banishment Document

“The most significant baseball document in the past 50 years,” the document banning Pete Rose for betting on baseball, goes up for auction on October 10. The document bears the full, legal signatures of Rose, his Jewish attorney Rueven J. Katz, Baseball Commissioner A. Bartlett Giamatti and Deputy Commissioner Fay Vincent. It is expected to sell for more than $100,000, and may bring as much as $1 million.
